Armando Muñoz

Armando is an internationally recognised authority on the use of the ethno-medicinal and informational plants of Peru and has studied and worked with the traditions of Ancient Andean Wisdom and the Consciousness Plants for more than 50 years. He is the holder of the lineage of Sayre Tupac, one of the last Incas of Peru.

In 1997 he founded The Ayahuasca and San Pedro International Research Center (ASPIRE) in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, in order to create an opportunity for all kinds of people from around the world to receive the profound teachings of ancient cultures while getting a deep environmental imprint from the phenomenal setting of the Andes. He is also co-founder of The Organic Intelligence (OI) in the year 2000.  OI is a platform for the research and sales of ethno-medicinal products.  The vision of OI is for everyone to utilize the transformative characteristics, preventative qualities, healing properties and innate information of ancient plants to facilitate and support human potential.

In 2001, Armando and OI were the first to standardize a GMP Ayahuasca tablet and a San Pedro tablet.

He is a leading voice in raising awareness for the preservation and cultural use of indigenous ethno-medicines as well as the preservation of ancient traditions of indigenous communities in Peru. In addition, he is a master in martial arts, a surfer and a learned authority on Peruvian local geography, ecology, culture, politics and folklore. He has lectured extensively around the globe on Ancient Wisdom Traditions, and guides people on journeys of self-discovery through developing awareness, finding their purpose and increase their potential in the Sacred Valley and throughout the world.

Armando’s first introduction to the San Pedro cactus came at the young age of 13 and he intuitively knew how to prepare the cactus after finding it in the desert outside of Lima and took it home to his mother's kitchen. On a path of self-discovery and teaching from a very young age his resulting experiences reinforced the direction that was planned for his life.  After attending a British school in Lima he received his Degree in Economy from the University of Lima. In addition to his research on San Pedro and Ayahuasca, in recent years his interest has moved towards Quantum Economics and the Economy of Wellness. He is a philanthropist and the founder of IAPICC (The International Association for the Preservation of Indigenous and Contemporary Cultures).

In his twenties he spent 15 years working with different Shamans and Curanderos in the Northern Coast of Peru as well as the Ayahuaskeros of the Pucallpa and Tarapoto regions. He specifically went to the Himalayas to receive oral transmissions from the different schools of the Tibetan Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. He focused primarily on transmissions from the lineage of the Masters of Enchantment, being initiated into these by Lama Dorje Rinpoche, Tsering Sangmo and Desmondkapa. During the 2 years he spent in India he also received transmissions from the Hindu Goroknath lineage.

Armando has an innate ability to cut through dogmatic interpretations of ancient wisdoms, and so convey the information accessible from the Consciousness Plants to participants in a clear, concise and understandable modern language. He has developed methods to concisely reveal the innate message of the ancient wisdom traditions to show the universal nature of their wisdom as the inherent nature of the mind, combining them into one global understanding.

Armando is a pioneer in the practical application of Quantum Conscientiology, where the ancient wisdom traditions are combined with the latest discoveries in science and biology in order to bring you a complete picture of the human condition, human potentiality and innate ability. This includes Mindfulness Meditation, Epigenetics, Neuroscience, Quantum Consciousness, Dharma Philosophy as well as Andean Wisdom and Consciousness Plants.

Armando's primary concern is to set in motion a deeper understanding of everybody's search of that which is innate in all of us: the Primordial Wisdom that allows us to reach new levels of awareness, and to incorporate this into everyday life so that evolution of being can take place.
